Rudy Diaz

Born and raised in Lima, Peru. My life has always been about adventures.  In 1999, the urge to travel took me from my home country all the way to Costa Rica.  After many years living in Costa Rica and working as a Professional Surf Instructor, I realized my dream was to own my own surf school.  With the help of my wife, Stephanie, I took a leap of faith, quit my job, and opened my own surf school. 

Our lives took a wonderful turn when we found out we were having our first child, Kosta. We sold our surf school in Costa Rica and moved to South Carolina to be closer to family. Since moving to South Carolina, our family has expanded.  We now have two sons, Kosta and Kai. Providing for my family and enjoying life are my ultimate goals.

After working a few different 9-5 jobs, I realized that I needed to find a career that I enjoy as much as I enjoyed being a Professional Surf Instructor.  Insert Photography. I have always had a passion for photography so I decided it's time to take another leap of faith.  I want to meet new people, build relationships, capture special moments, and, most of all, enjoy life.

Nací y me críe en Lima, Peru. Mi vida siempre fue una aventura. En 1999, las ganas de viajar me llevaron hasta Costa Rica. Despues de muchos años viviendo en Costa Rica y trabajando como instructor profesional de surf, me di cuenta que necesitaba abrir mi propia escuela de surf.  Con ayuda de mi esposa, Stephanie, tomé el riesgo, renuncié a mi trabajo, y abrí my propia escuela de surf. 

Nuestras vidas tomaron un rumbo maravilloso cuando nos dimos cuenta que esperábamos a nuestro primer hijo, Kosta.  Vendimos nuestra escuela de surf y nos mudamos a Carolina del Sur para estar cerca de la familia.  Desde que vivimos aquí, nuestra familia ha crecido. Ahora tenemos dos hijos, Kosta y Kai.  Mis metas son disfrutar de mi familia y de la vida.

Trabajé en muchos lugares de 9-5, pero me di cuenta que necesitaba encontrar una carrera que disfrutara tanto como instructor de surf. Así surgió la fotografía. Siempre he tenido la pasión por la fotografía entonces decidí que era hora de dar otro salto. Quiero conocer nuevas personas, crear amistad, capturar momentos especiales, y, sobre todo, disfrutar de la vida.
